When is the Feria de Jerez?

The Jerez Fair is held every year in May, usually between the first and second week of the month, varying the dates from one year to another, and always before the Pilgrimage of El Rocío.

Recently, we have learned that the Horse Fair 2024 will be held from May 4 to 11; a week in which the city of Jerez shows its uniqueness and enormous tourist attraction.

Equestrian activities are the main protagonists of the Horse Fair of Jerez, with countless events such as tests of harassment and demolition, cowboy dressage, exhibition of harnesses or morphological competitions, among many others. As well as a spectacular Horse Walk that is definitely worthwhile and should not be missed.

The Fair is inaugurated with the traditional “Alumbrado”, when more than a million light bulbs are lit, filling the entire fairground with illumination, which gives a more special atmosphere and also increases security.

Where is the Jerez de la Frontera Fair?

The Jerez de la Frontera Fair takes place in the emblematic González Hontoria Park, where there are about 300 strategically located booths and adorns its walkways and streets with garlands and flowers that give it a special charm.

The Jerez Horse Bullfighting Fair

Known as the Feria Taurina del Caballo de Jerez, it takes place in the Jerez bullring, where bullfights, bullfighting, bullfighting competitions and equestrian shows are held throughout the week.
